Why we built this
Planner of Us started with a simple frustration: planning a week of meals should not take longer than cooking one of them.
Most families already know what they want to make. The recipes are bookmarked, saved to Pinterest, texted from a friend, or sitting in a newsletter from six months ago. The hard part is turning those scattered links into a single grocery list and a plan you can actually follow on a Tuesday night when everyone is tired and hungry.
We built Planner of Us to collapse that gap. Paste the links, get the plan. One grocery list, organized by store section. Simple cook notes that tell you what you actually need to know without the story about someone's Italian grandmother. Two minutes instead of forty-five.
The name
Meal planning is rarely about one person. It is about the people you feed and the people you plan with: a partner, a couple of kids, a roommate, whoever is around the table this week. That "us" is the whole point. The goal was never the list. The goal is the meal, the table, and the people around it.
The name also carries an honest ambition. We are starting with meal planning because that is where families feel the friction most immediately. But the Planner of Us vision is bigger: helping people plan the parts of life worth planning for, together. Meals now. Travel someday. The next chapter when the time comes. Planning that brings people together rather than pulling them into spreadsheets.
Where we are now
Right now, Planner of Us does one thing well: it takes recipe links and turns them into a grocery list and a meal plan you can actually use. That focus is intentional. We wanted to earn your trust with the thing you need every week before we try to do more.
If you have tried it and it helped, we would genuinely love to hear about it. If something did not work the way you expected, we want to know that too.
